Clinical Results
IOPtima Ltd. has performed over 250 procedures using the IOPtiMate™ CO2 Laser Assisted Filtration Surgery system in controlled clinical trials (under ethical committees approvals) and as part of product marketing activities in various European countries, Mexico, India, Russia and Brazil.
Over 100 surgeries were performed in clinical trials worldwide in countries such as Mexico, India, Russia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Israel. Over 50 patients completed a 12 months follow-up period.
Results show a clinically significant reduction in intraocular pressure (IOP) as well as a reduction in number of Glaucoma medications needed to control the pressure post-op compared to pre-op.
